SPONSORSHIP OF A NEEDY GIRL
Akanksha Das is originally from Gureswar, Assam. Aashaa Bora Foundation has been asked by Childline- Guwahati to take the sponsorship programme of Ms Akanksha Das. She was studying in TC Girls High School. Akanksha’s father has a Betel nut shop in Downtown, Guwahati. Her family is not economically good. Her mother is a domestic helper. Akanksha is a very solemn, punctual and dedicated student, she wants to become an IAS Officer. Aashaa Bora Foundation was sponsoring for her education. Now she has secured 1st division and 90 percentage of marks in class 10th exams with letters in all the subjects. She also has been able to secure state highest with 100 out of 100 in English. detail report....

DONATION OF WALKING AIDS TO DISABLED PEOPLE FROM SONAIMARI
On 9th December 2016, Srimati Tulsa Sharma approached Aashaa Bora Foundation for some help in ths regard. Aashaa Bora helped her by providing a Walker for her daughter and Crutches for her son so that they can walk on their own. RESCUE OF A DESTITUTE WOMAN FROM MADHUPUR AREA
As a part of its mission On 29th November 2016 a mentally disturbed and a destitute woman was rescued by Aashaa Bora Foundation from Madhupur area of Biswanath Chariali. President Aashaa Bora along with other staff members went for the rescue and in the process were helped by Sri Anjan Bora(Jitu) ,GMC ward member and the local police. detail report....
FLOOD RELIEF AND FREE MEDICAL CAMP AT GERIMARI, MANGALDOI
Every year during monsoon Assam is inundated with flood. As a result lakhs of people are affected by it. In order to lend some help to these affected people Aashaa Bora Foundation organised a Flood Relief Camp at Gerimari, Prafulla Nagar under Mangaldoi District on 27th August 2016. FREE RICE DISTRIBUTION AT BELTOLA KOTHARI MARKET, BASISTHA CHARIALI, GUWAHATI
On 6th May , 2016 twenty bags of rice of 25 kgs each were distributed at Beltola Kothari Market, Basistha Chariali to old age home ‘SENEH’ and among six blind students from Blind School Basistha and some widows from the nearby areas such as Ganesh Nagar, Basistha, Bhetapara, and Patarkuchi Beltola Chariali.The rice was cultivated at Batakuchi by Aashaa Bora. FREE RICE DISTRIBUTION & MEDICAL CAMP
Upar Kurua being a village with people in need required some help from outer source. In view of this Aashaa Bora Foundation decided to distribute rice among the most deprived ones. She conducted the programme on 28th april 2016 in collaboration with another NGO named Hitarth based in Guwahati and with the help of Ms. Sushmita Goswami Baruah and her husband Shri Dilip Kr. PARTICIPATION BY AASHAA BORA FOUNDATION IN SAG 2016
Aashaa Bora Foundation was approached by the members of Organising Committee of 12th South Asian Games, 2016 (Guwahati) to provide volunteers for the Games. It was at the initiative of Aashaa Bora, President of Aashaa Bora Foundation that total of fourteen candidates from the Foundation were selected as Volunteers for the South Asian Games. Food for the Needy
On 15th November, 2015 the paddy was reaped and harvested for distribution among the needy people of the village. There are so many poor people in the village who don’t have their own land and therefore are not in a position to cultivate their own paddy. Free Health Check Up at Tetalia
on 5th November 2015 a Free Health Check up camp was organised in Tetaliain association with GNRC, The programme was started from 10.00 a.m to 3.00 p.m. In this programme free health check up, medicine and also free ECG and ultrasound were provided to the village people. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA, 2015
On 21st June 2015, International Yoga Day was celebrated at Khanapara field, Guwahati. The team of Aashaa Bora Foundation had participated as a volunteer, which was organized by NEHRU YUVA KENDRA SANGATHAN and NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME. The yoga day was declared by United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 2014. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his UN Address suggested the date to be June 21 as the International Day of Yoga as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and has special significance in many parts of the world. On 18th December 2014 we, Aashaa Bora Foundation had organised a awareness programme on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) with support from WSSO, PHED (Assam) This awareness programme focuses on creating awareness among the village people of Mirza that access to safe drinking water, adequate sanitation and proper hygiene can reduce illness and death and also helps in achieving socio-economic development and live their life safely.Thus on this occasion water testing of the village households, schools and namghar of Mirza has been conducted by Aashaa Bora Foundation with support from WSSO. FELICITATING & CERTIFICATION CEREMONY
On 6th DECEMBER 2014, we Aashaa Bora foundation had organized a programme on Felicitating & Certification Ceremony which is situated at Nikita Complex,1st floor, Research Gate, Khanapara. The chief guest invited for this programme was Ikramul Mazid and other guest was Dr.Anuj Baruah (scientist) and Media persons were also invited on this occasion. FLOOD RELIEF CAMP
We AASHAA BORA FOUNDATION along with the MSW (MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK) students of Don Bosco UNIVERSITY went to HAHIM VILLAGE for the purpose to relief the sufferers of flood affected areas. On 26th September 2014, Aashaa Bora Foundation, a prominent non-government and socio-economic organization, working for the better livelihood opportunity in rural areas had distributed free solar light and first aid box to the 10 standard students in associated with Santiban NGO with the help of Gopal Saikia, president of Santiban, at the village of Tangana Gaon, ward no. 3, Goahpur, Dist. Sonitpur and Bhogpur Sankarjyoti Milan Sangha, P.O. Bhogpur, Dist Lakhimpur, Assam. Also provided financial aid to 12 no. of effected farmers for purchase of seeds for forthcoming Ravi crops.
